Co-founded by Taylor and Woodlawn resident, Annie Bryant, Bib & Tucker Sew-Op is a sewing cooperative whose mission is to cultivate skills and community for those who sew or want to sew (ages 9-99) where everyone can be both a teacher and a student. The Sew-Op hopes to facilitate a sewing-based cottage industry that provides income and flexible working conditions for women who head their households.
As executive director, Taylor continues the Sew-Op's mission through community art projects such as The March Quilts and seeks creative funding opportunities such as crowdsourcing, which was used in 2013 to reach a Sew-Op goal of attending Birmingham's biannual show, Quiltfest.
