I've been painting florals since middle-school when a large watercolor won 1st prize at the Alabama state fair. During the pandemic, I picked up the practice again, thanks to inspiration from my paternal grandmother who loves nothing more than sitting around the dining room table at Sweet Apple (family cabin in Mentone, AL), painting flowers gathered from the yard or on a short walk along River Road.
